Designed for recreational, choral singers. Participants learn to apply vocal technique through a series of exercises designed to help keep their voices healthy for rehearsals and performances. Topics covered are: Breath Management, Resonance, Range, and Diction etc.
The focus of this workshop is to provide an understanding of, and technique for singing in a popular music (rock, pop, gospel, r & b etc.) genre. This is a particularly helpful workshop for singers who primarily sing in a classical style that wish to extend their versatility to other contemporary genres.
Individual singers prepare songs to work on in an open lesson environment in front of their group. Emphasis is on improvement through correct vocal technique, and effective communication.
