For anyone who is interested in seeing some very young singers perform, please join us this coming Sunday. For some singers this will be their first time singing in front of an audience. Students, Jadyn McInnis-Thorpe, Jaden Young, Daveena Ambalwarner and Netta Halevy will perform in a recital this Sunday May 6th at 4 p.m. This recital is part of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association and will be held at the Richmond Presbyterian Church at 7111 No.2 Road. Admission is $2 or $5 per family.

Richmond Music Festival Results

Congrats to all who participated in the November 2010 festival. Scholarships were awarded to Hayley Klimovitch and Andrea Aguilar. Hayley Klimovitch also received a plaque in recognition of being chosen the Most Outstanding Intermediate Division singer.

Provincial Awards

Congratulations to all the students who did exams this year. I’m pleased to report that three students from the studio that did exams this year are being awarded Conservatory Canada Medals for Excellence at the 2010 Fall Convocation Ceremony this November. These medals represent the highest mark in the grade for the Province of BC. Students Darrell Tse will be awarded for Gr. 4 Classical Voice, Samuel Leoganda for Gr. 4 Contemporary Voice and Jackie Tam for Gr. 5 Contemporary Voice.
